My Healing Philosophy

My healing philosophy is born out of a wellness model that blends embodiment practices, psychology principals, and trauma informed story work.  Built on my wellness foundation as a Registered Dietitian and Yoga Teacher, I love bringing a unique integrated body based healing experience to the therapy journey. Breathing life-giving connection to one’s being while also identifying the places that have been forgotten, blocked or stuck are some of the ways I walk others to wholeness.  I have found that one of the most powerful healing practices is to invite someone to embody not only their story but their full identity.  This may mean waking up powerful emotions, finding one’s voice, reconnecting to one’s heart, calming the mind, or beginning to dream.  My hope for clients is that wherever they find themselves when they enter this work, they would walk away feeling more free, alive, and honored. I believe you are the expert of your life and you hold far more power and truth than you may realize.  I believe you were created for relationships and belonging and that when one heals, our impact is more healing for others.  I believe the therapeutic relationship is an opportunity to embrace a safe relationship while grieving, healing, growing and reaching out for support is your first courageous act of healing.

I am currently being supervised by Heidi Anderson, MS, LCMHC-S who focuses on trauma and embodiment. I work with 18+ adults.
